Three Airlines Court Tocumen Airport
story by La Prensa
Tocumen International Airport
Representatives from three airlines have visited the country recently to explore the possibility of operating from the Tocumen International Airport.
Tocumen Airport General Manager Rafael Flores confirmed that he had hosted the representatives, but said he couldn't reveal the companies until the Civil Aviation Authority decides whether it will grant them the necessary permits.
At the close of last year, Tocumen was home to 31 airlines (16 passenger and 15 cargo).
On a related note, it was announced Thursday that ANAM, the country's chief environmental authority, gave the go-ahead the environmental impact studies conducted for the airport's expansion project.
